Taken by Darkness (Guardians of Eternity #6.5) by Alexandra Ivy

Summary:
The daughter of a witch, Juliet Lawrence has inherited magical powers—powers that could be quite useful to Victor, Marquess DeRosa, London's most powerful vampire. But that's not all Victor desires of Juliet. He wants the unpredictable beauty in his bed—and he is accustomed to getting what he wants. . .

My Review:

Taken by Darkness is a novella by Alexandra Ivy. It is published in the book Yours For Eternity and takes place in the Guardians of Eternity world. It takes place in London sometime in the 1800s. The 2 main characters are Victor, a vampire clan chief and Juliet, the daughter of an imp and a witch. Victor is fascinated with Juliet and doesn't understand why. Juliet is also fascinated with Victor but does not want to be the puppet of a vampire.

I really liked Juliet. She's over 100 years old but lately she's been dissatisfied with life. She has a fascination for Victor but she doesn't want to admit it to herself. She's also kind and compassionate and will risk everything to help a friend in need.

I also really liked Victor. Since meeting Juliet he has lost interest in other women. He soon realizes that Juliet is his true mate. He's good-looking, sexy, and will do anything to protect Juliet.

Levet was in this story too. Evidently he lived in London during this time and was friends with Juliet. He gets himself in a bit of trouble and Juliet and Victor have to save him.

I enjoyed reading the story. I hope that we will see Victor and Juliet in future Guardians of Eternity books.
