Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy #1) by Jennifer Estep

Goodreads Summary:

My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy — a school of myths, magic and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody's head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest.
But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I'm determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why—especially since I should have been the one who died. .
My Review:

Touch of Frost is the 1st book in the Mythos Academy series by Jennifer Estep. The book opens almost 2 months after Gwen starts attending Mythos Academy. She's not quite sure why she is going there and she knows that she does not believe in the gods and goddesses that are taught there. One night a girl named Jasmine's killed in the library. Gwen becomes determined to find out who her killer is…

This was a fun novel to read. Gwen is really out of her element at her new school. She does not believe the mythology that is being taught and thinks that it is ridiculous. Nobody will tell her what's really going on and that puts her at a disadvantage. She doesn't understand why nobody is concerned about who killed Jasmine.

Along the way she has several encounters with the hot but mysterious Logan Quinn. He flirts with her but she refuses to become another notch on his belt. He also has secrets…

Eventually she does figure out what happened to Jasmine but that puts her at risk. She also makes a very unlikely new friend.

I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to the next book.
